A starting point, not an answer

The Idea Seeder

Five levers. Pull them, and they deal your crew onto a fresh, slightly-surprising starting point — built from the real people and small annoyances in your actual lives, not some far-off future. Lock the ones you love, re-roll the rest, draw a wild card, and chase it until someone says "ooh — we could actually make that."

How to run this with a group +
1

Warm-up ~5 min · everyone, solo

Hit Deal all five once and read your seed out loud to your table. Don't judge it — you're just hearing how wide the range gets and shaking off the blank-page fear. Deal two or three times for the laughs.

2

Claim a seed ~10 min · in your team

As a team, deal together. Lock the levers you love (the padlock), re-roll the rest, and keep going until you land on a combination that genuinely sparks something for your people. The wild card is not an obstacle to dodge — it's the part that makes the idea yours.

3

Shrink it to buildable ~10 min · then build

Answer three questions: Who exactly is it for? What's the one thing it must do? What's the smallest version you could show in 30 minutes? Then hit Turn this into a build prompt, paste it into Claude Code, and start the build loop — describe, build, run, fix, ask.

The wild card is a gift, not a hurdle. The best ideas come from taking the constraint completely seriously instead of negotiating with it.
